Chapter 08

Announcements, CQ Bot, messages, and help

Share class information and find answers without crossing role boundaries or wasting AI credits.

Available to: All users

Class announcements

Announcements belong to classes and may include priority, expiry, and a destination link.

  1. 1

    Write an actionable announcement

From class overview, add title, body, audience, important state, expiry, and a material/file destination when needed. An unfinished form should remain open until publish or discard.

  2. 2

    Read from across the dashboard

Students use the header announcement drawer while changing menus. Unread and important states are visible; opening an item expands its body inline.

CQ Bot

The bot prefers FAQ and deterministic answers, then invokes AI only when needed.

  1. 1

    Ask with clear context

State the outcome, time range, and relevant object. AI requests enter per-user and per-tenant queues with limits that reduce spam.

  2. 2

    The bot still follows permissions

Attendance, progress, and finance summaries use role-authorized tools. Students cannot request organization finance; parents can only reach linked children.

Help Center and Messages

Help Center answers product questions; Messages provides private, role-scoped communication between authorized staff and parents.

  1. 1

    Search FAQ first

Use search, tags, and sorting in Help Center. CQ Bot can return a matching FAQ without consuming AI credit.

  2. 2

    Start a scoped conversation

Use Messages for academic, attendance, assignment, billing, or general follow-up. Choose the relevant child or class context and only attach files that the recipient is authorized to access.
