Chapter 03

Calendar, timetable, attendance, and lesson records

Run daily classroom work with dates and teaching sessions connected to the same source.

Available to: Organization owner, Organization admin, Teacher

Calendar and timetable

Calendar stores instructional exceptions and activities; timetable stores recurring teaching sessions.

  1. 1

    Record calendar exceptions

Create events at the correct scope. A no-instruction event can close attendance for the organization or selected classes without deleting timetable rows.

  2. 2

    Schedule from an offering

Choose class, subject, teacher, weekday, start, and end. Sessions drive Today's subjects, teacher attendance work, and Record lesson links.

Record attendance

Attendance follows timetable sessions and the organization's configured time window.

  1. 1

    Open the scheduled session

Choose View on Attendance. Unsaved eligible learners start as Present, so teachers only mark exceptions such as Late, Absent, or Excused.

  2. 2

    Understand the closing window

Teachers may update attendance until the post-session grace period ends. Later it becomes read-only; owner/admin corrections require a reason and create an audit record.

Lesson plans and records

One record progresses from a plan to a completed lesson instead of creating duplicate records.

  1. 1

    Record from My work

Record lesson opens Subjects with the correct offering, date, and slot. Add topic, summary, material, and attendance, then complete it after teaching.

  2. 2

    Plan a future lesson

For a future date, use Save private draft or Schedule lesson. Drafts are staff-only; planned lessons are visible to learners and parents but cannot write attendance or become completed early.
